Instructional Day: W.E. Cundiff School's instructional day begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 2:20 PM.  Students transported by car in the morning should arrive between 7:30 and 7:40 AM.  Students transported by car in the afternoon may be picked up at 2:30 PM from the gymnasium.   Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe.

Phone Number Changes:  Please contact the school with phone number changes and any other contact information including work phone numbers.  It is important that the school always has current information in order to reach parents.

Paw Print Folders:  The Paw Print folder contains the handbook with school guidelines, lunch schedules and polices the school follows as directed by the Roanoke County School system.  Please refer to it for information.

Notes to Teachers:  Please include your child's first and last name, teacher name and parent's name on all notes sent to the school.

Student Lunch:  Weekly and monthly pre-pay accounts are available for both full and reduced price meals from the school cafeteria.  Daily lunch for students is $2.35; breakfast is $1.15.  This account money will be designated for meals-only, no extras.  When sending in a lunch check, please write on the memo line of the check the child's name, teacher's name, phone number, and student number.   Should your child wish to purchase extras, please send cash for extras.

Lunch Guests: We request that guests eat with their student outside the cafeteria. This protects the confidentiality for all students.  We thank you for your cooperation.

Tennis Shoes Every Day:  Students will have physical education twice weekly with the Physical Education teacher.  They will have physical activity every other day with their classroom teacher.  Tennis shoes are required for physical activity.  Students may wear them every day or leave a pair at the school.

If Your Child Is Going To Be Absent:  Please call the school by 8:30 AM, 857-5009.  Roanoke County Guidelines require schools to contact parents if students are not at school.  Please send a note to the school upon return to school for our files.  Notes from a doctor regarding an absence are filed.
