  • Glen Cove Skate Night - Friday, January 31 from 4:00 to 10:00 PM

    It's Glen Cove Night at Skate Center of Roanoke Valley on Friday, Jan. 31. Advance tickets are $4.00 for skating and skate rental. Add $4.00 for the Play Zone. Add $4.00 for one Laser Tag Game, or add $8.50 to make it unlimited, which includes Play Zone and unlimited Laser Tag games. To get this discounted price, purchase the tickets through our PTA.   • PAWS ComicBook Creator Contest

    Our 4th and 5th grade classes made a comic book illustrating one of the PAWS attributes during Library encore. Our assistant principal, Mrs. McPhail, judged the comics based on creativity, design, teamwork, and being on topic. The top ten comics are now posted online to share with our Glen Cove families.   • Golden Apple Teacher Awards

    The Education Foundation Golden Apple program was created to recognize and honor teachers who have made an impact on their students, either academically or personally. Each year, teachers from across Roanoke County Public Schools are nominated by students, parents, co-workers and administrators to receive the Golden Apple Award, the highest award presented to a teacher by the Education Foundation. In addition, one teacher from the elementary, middle and high school levels is presented the Red Apple Award; and one teacher who has taught less than 3 years will receive the Green Apple.
