    Key club will be holding two meetings next week, one on Tuesday Oct 3 at 7:45 in E103 and one on Wednesday Oct 4th at 3:30 in E103. 

     

    Attention French Club Members!  Our movie night has been rescheduled for Monday, October 2nd at 3:30.   We will be watching a French movie and tasting truffle popcorn.  Please plan your rides for 5pm. See Madame Decrozant in room B-110 with questions. 

     

    Attention Key Club: Dues are due October 1st and are $15 dollars, please see Mx. Hendrix to pay and if you have any questions.  

     

    Attention Seniors: if you are interested in applying to Virginia Tech early and would like to be considered for the on-site admissions review, applications must be submitted by the end of the day on October 9th. If this applies to you – please see your counselor.  

     

    Students, if you are interested in digital art and want to learn how to make it or just want to do art this is the club for you! This year the Art Department is opening the Digital Media and Art Club to all students in 9th -12th grade. Our opening information meeting will be on Friday October 6th from 3:30-4:00 p.m. in the art room, Room E122. If you are interested and have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Kane or Mrs. Rivers for more information. We are excited to see there! 

     

     

    Reminder that Gaming Club will meet next week, not today, on Thursday in room B105. See Mr. Mayer with any questions.

    The Spanish Club will hold its first meeting after school on Thursday October 5th. Come help us kick off the year’s activities with snacks and election of Club officers! You should have a ride home by 4PM. 

     

    Attention Seniors: On October 24th (from 9:00am-12:30pm), Northside HS will be taking a field trip to Virginia Western Community College to tour the campus. All interested seniors please see Coach Fleming in the Career Center to get your field trip form. The first 35 students who turn in their field trip form will be able to attend. Field trip forms are due October 17th.  

        

    Junior Powder Puff practice will be held on Sunday from 1:00-2:00pm at the football stadium. Any questions please see Coach Fleming in the Career Center.         

     

    Attention all German Club and Chess team and club members there will be no meeting or practice this Monday (10-2) after school.  We will meet again the following Monday. 

     

    The swim team will have an interest meeting on Tuesday morning from 7:45 to 8:05 in the library to discuss the upcoming swim season, which starts in November. If you are interested in being on the swim team, please plan to attend the meeting.

    Mrs. Puriefoy’s after-school tutoring for today is cancelled. 

     

    Indoor Track and Field conditioning starts this week. Interested athletes will meet today 3:45-5:30 on the track. You must have a current physical to attend. 

     

    Everyone going on the German Club field trip today after school should meet in Mr. Strecker’s room right after school. 

      

    The next FCCLA meeting will be held after school until 4:30pm on Thursday, September 28th and before school at 7:45am on Friday, September 29th.

    Girls Basketball open gyms and work outs will continue this week: Wed 3:45-4:30pm and Thurs 6:15-7:45pm. 

     

    Students: A reminder from our administration that you need to follow the dress code at all times. Especially all tops, they must have straps and please no tub tops even when you wear a sweater. Thank you all for your cooperation.

    The cross-country team had a great day competing in Alleghany this weekend with everyone running their fastest times of the season. Colter Meritt and Aman Bennett were the top runners for the boys. Ava Ashley and Braelyn Handy were the top runners for the girls.

    Anyone interested in joining the boy's tennis team in the spring, please see Mr. Strecker in room B112.  We will be having a fun tennis session this coming Tuesday Sept 26th, after school.  Meet in Mr. Strecker’s room before going to the courts.   See you Tuesday! 

      

     The next FCCLA meeting will be held after school until 4:30pm on Thursday, September 28th and before school at 7:45am on Friday, September 29th. 

      

    10th grade vision and hearing screenings will be Tuesday, September 26th. If you wear glasses or contacts, please remember to wear them on screening day. 

     

    Attention all Freshmen: You are invited to join us in Room B-117 from 3:30pm-4:15pm today to help decorate the freshman hall for homecoming. Have a ride ready by 4:15.

    See You at the Pole will take place on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:50 a.m. on the band practice field between the middle school and high school.
