Roanoke County Public Schools welcomes all new students to our school district!
Parents wishing to register their children should come to the school their child will attend.
Parents should bring the following information to registration:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Immunization record (please see this site for information about required vaccinations)
- Proof of residency (a mortgage, a pending contract, a copy of a lease or a property tax statement will be accepted as proof of residency)
* Note: A driver’s license or vehicle registration will not be accepted as proof of residency.
Schools must have the physical and immunization record on file prior to the first day of school or students will not be allowed to attend school. Children currently enrolled in a Roanoke County Public Schools preschool program who are eligible for kindergarten must go through the registration process. If the date of the current physical and immunization record on file exceeds 12 months of the first day of school, an updated physical and immunization record is required before the first day of school.
