Pick-Up Meal Program
UPDATE: The federal government has extended the free meals for kids program through December 31, 2020 (unless further extended), or until federal funding is exhausted. This means all children 18 and under can receive free meals from schools.
Roanoke County Public Schools is providing FREE pick-up meals for all students age 18 and under. Parents can enroll in the Pick-Up meal program using the links below. Please use the link for your child's school or the school you would like to pick up meals from. A separate form is required for each child. Parents only need to enroll once to be included in pick-up meals. If you need to make a change, please submit an updated form.
Meals offered include 1 breakfast entrée and 1 lunch entrée (PBJ sandwich or deli sandwich), fruit, vegetables, and milk.
100% online and non-RCPS students: Parents will pick up meals on Wednesdays. Parents must pick up meals from the school they have registered with.
- Elementary pickup: 9 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.
- Middle school pickup: 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
- High school pickup: 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Hybrid: Students will pickup meals to take home at dismissal for each in-school day.
Meals must be promptly refrigerated.
If meals are not picked up for three consecutive days, the student will be removed from the distribution list.
Meals will not be provided on days when schools are closed (i.e. holidays, inclement weather, etc.).
Any meal payments that were made in September will be returned to the student’s meal account. Parents can request a refund by completing a form found on the RCPS school nutrition website.
