Due to a federal waiver in response to COVID-19, all Roanoke County Public Schools will be providing free, nutritious meals for breakfast and lunch each day as part of the Seamless Summer Option of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
Free and Reduced Meal Programs
While meals are free this year, completing a household application may help your household qualify for further benefits, such as the the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) and the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB).
A new meal application needs to be completed each year - eligibility carrys over into the new school year for only 30 days. Please complete one application per household.

Student Lunch Accounts
For school year 2021-2022, breakfast and lunch meals will be provided at no charge.
Milk and water may be purchased. Additional ala carte items may be sold at a later date.
Money may be added to your child's meal account with cash or check in your school cafeteria.

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.
To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. The School Nutrition Services Department is now accepting applications to work as a Nutrition Associate in a part-time or substitute capacity.
