Bedford Falls Book Fair

Oct. 29 - Nov. 8, 2021

Dear Family,

The Book Fair is coming to Glen Cove!  Children in grades K – 5 are previewing the fair on October 26, October 27 and October 28. The Grand Opening for family sales is Friday, October 29, from 8:00–2:10.  The Book Fair will be open November 1 thru 8 from 8:00 to 2:00 for student purchases during the school day.  Monday, November 8, is the final day of the book fair and hours are 8:00 to 2:00. We are not allowing parents/guardians to come to the fair due to Covid protocol in the school. Thank you for your cooperation!

Before coming to the fair, families can visit the Book Fair website HERE. Be sure to register first as a parent using the school code GCE1. The Book Fair is a great way to see and purchase quality children’s books while raising money for the library.  It is the major source of funds for purchasing new library books.  A small selection of adult books is also available. 

Your child will receive a brochure that shows a small selection of books that are available.  The student can create a wish list from the brochure of books that are interesting to them. You may pay for purchases with exact cash or a check. Virginia sales tax IS NOT charged for purchases made at the book fair.  If you wish to send a check with your child, please be sure to make the check exact amount. Small amounts of change can be returned for checks that go over the amount of the total sale.  Checks should be made out to “Glen Cove.” PLEASE SEND MONEY WITH YOUR CHILD ONLY ON OCTOBER 29 and the FOLLOWING DAYS IN NOVEMBER 1, 3, 4, 5 and 8.

P.S.  If you want, your child can also buy a book on his/her teacher’s wish list for the classroom library or donate $1 (or more) to be used by his/her homeroom teacher to buy books for the classroom library.
