Today is Thursday, January 23rd. It is a B Day.
Girls Soccer: Any girl interested in playing soccer this spring who was not able to make the meeting last week, please stop by the Reading Nook in the morning and pick up papers from Mrs. Pierce or see Mr. Duff in Room 107.
Dates for girls soccer open gym sessions are February 4th, February 11th, and February 13th from 3:45pm to 5:15pm. All sessions will take place in the GMS main gym. Participants must have a current VHSL physical on file with Ms. Wakeland. Bring tennis shoes, shin guards, and appropriate clothing for work in and out-of-doors.
Boys Soccer: Boys Soccer open gyms have begun. They are Monday and Thursday from 3:45pm to 5:15pm in the GMS main gym. Participants must have a current VHSL physical on file with Ms. Wakeland. Bring tennis shoes, shin guards, and appropriate clothing for work in and out-of-doors. Participants will report to Coach Franco’s room in the high school just after the final school bell to change in the high school dressing facilities.
Softball: GMS Softball will have winter workouts on every Monday and Wednesday (that we are in school) until the start of tryouts (2/17) from 3:45 until 5:30. You need a completed VHSL physical form, on file with Ms. Wakeland, to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Street. Thanks.
Soup for Seniors Drive: Students, the SCA is sponsoring the Soup for Senior Drive. This is a community service project to provide canned soup for seniors in need in our community. The drive will start Monday, January 20th and end Friday, January 31st. All cans should be delivered to Mr. Ruble's room, room 220. Thank you for helping with this project.
Attention all students: Though the weather may be frightful and the thought of a warm blanket delightful, it is not appropriate to carry blankets around school. Please leave them in your locker.
Attention all students: Please remember you are not to leave the main gym in the mornings without talking to one of the supervising teachers.
Registration Information: Registration information and an online copy of the 2020-2021 Registration Guide can be found on the GMS Counseling webpage here.
Conservation Club: The GMS Conservation Club is recycling markers! Help out by putting your dried up markers and highlighters in a box in your classroom. Teachers—We will be putting boxes in your rooms for the used markers to go in. Help us recycle our markers
Baseball: Open gyms will resume the first week of February.
Remember, ALL HIGHLANDERS MATTER and
in everything you do today, LEAVE NO DOUBT!
