The Roanoke County School Board has selected Jason Breeding as the new principal at Northside High School, effective July 1. Breeding replaces Dominick McKee, who accepted a central office position with Montgomery Co. Public Schools earlier this year.
Breeding comes to Roanoke County Public Schools with seven years of administrative experience in Roanoke City Public Schools at Patrick Henry High School and Lucy Addison Middle School. He also has nine years of teaching experience in Abingdon.
Breeding holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Military Institute, a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Educational Specialist’s degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia.
“We are thrilled that Jason is joining Roanoke County Public Schools,” said Dr. Ken Nicely, superintendent of Roanoke County Public Schools. “Jason has a strong record of instructional leadership and I know he will continue the tradition of outstanding instruction at Northside,” Dr. Nicely said.
