- Bus 38 will be Bus 180 today.
- Congratulations to the Academic Team on their victories over Staunton River and Franklin County last night. Proud of you guys! Wish them luck as they prepare for Regions next weekend.
- In the Soup for Seniors Competition - the Seniors are in first place, Juniors are in second place, Sophomores are in Third place with Freshmen in 4th. Remember to bring in items by this Friday to help with this food drive and support your class.
- Attention students: the Navy will be on campus Wednesday, January 29th at 10:30 am. If you are interested in this meeting sign up in the Career Center.
- SCA will be collecting soup, canned goods, peanut butter, crackers and other low sodium healthy foods for local senior citizens. Drop off your donation in the front lobby or by the trophy cases. The grade level with the most items will have an advantage at the next spirit stick competition.
- There will be a baseball interest meeting Thursday afternoon, January 30 in the cafeteria immediately after school. If you are interseted in playing baseball this year, please come. It will only take about 5 or 10 minutes.
- Attention students - this is a reminder that all applications to attend classes at Burton Center for Arts and Technology next school year are due on Friday, January 31. This deadline is for all programs at Burton including Specialty Centers. Anyone applying after January 31 will be placed on the waiting list. The application is available on the BCAT website www.rcps.us/BCAT
- February 4th to February 11th the Chick Fil-A Leader Academy will be selling valentines cookie grams during lunches. These will be delivered on Feb 14th. The cost is 3 dollars for 1 cookie and 5 dollars for 2.
- Attention Seniors: Lifetouch will be here on February 11th to take Cap and Gown photos. Please sign up outside Mrs. Acker's room 249 if you would like to have these photos taken. The photo session is free.
- Every Wednesday in February the Chick Fil-A Leader Academy will be collecting money during lunches for the American Heart Association.
- The Red Cross Club is collecting coins during lunches on Wednesdays this month. So dig in your pockets, in your car and in the sofa and bring in any spare change that you can find. Any small contribution can help those in your community.
- Attention Seniors! Baby Ads for the yearbook are on sale now until March 27th. Come by Mrs. Acker’s room 249 for an order form. Or, have your parents contact her via email cacker@rcps.us
- Attention sophomores and juniors: The Rotary Club will sponsor two students to attend the 38th annual youth leadership awards at the 4-H Educational Conference Center at Smith Mountain Lake. The event will be free of charge and transportation will be provided. You will have to fill out a registration packet to be seleced. The deadline for the application is February 17th. For a registratino packet and more informatino come by the Career Center.
