  • Attention Juniors and Seniors: We need some After Prom pictures for the yearbook. See Mrs. Acker in room 267 or email them to her at


  • Attention all Seniors: With graduation coming up quickly, you must check the Senior Class Blackboard page and your student email as often as possible. We will send out lots of information over the next few weeks, and it's the best way to stay up to date.
  • Attention rising seniors regarding formal portraits: The county is currently reevaluating photography vendors, and it looks like we may not have a decision until July. When the decision is made, we will send an email with information on how to sign up for senior photo sessions. No matter the vendor, we still plan to have photographers in the building on two dates in the fall. These dates will be announced at a later date. Address any questions to Mrs. Acker at


The student laptop collection will be different this year. Starting May 6th Seniors will turn in their laptops to the I.T. Depot in room 145 or to the turn-in table in the front lobby. Laptops must be turned in before leaving school on your final day in the building. Laptops must be turned in to participate in Senior Day and Graduation activities.

Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen laptop collections will begin May 20th. You can turn your laptop into the Laptop Depot after completing your final exam. Most students' final exams will be on May 23rd. On that day, teachers will bring their classes to the Wrestling room to turn in their laptops after completing their exams. However, we need as many students as possible to turn in their laptops after their final exam to alleviate traffic during the last block on May 23rd. 

Make sure you bring your bag and charger to turn in that day. Remove all non-Roanoke County Public Schools stickers from the laptop or risk being billed the price of the part you put a sticker on. Students who are missing a charger or bag must see Mr. Clark before their turn-in day to resolve this. Students taking summer school classes must have paid and signed up in guidance before May 23rd to keep their laptops. Otherwise, they must turn in their computer and pick up a summer school laptop from Northside High School. Once a laptop is turned in, it will NOT be reissued.   • Any students interested in trying out for the golf team this fall, please sign the interest form in the front office. Students must have a valid VHSL physical on file to participate. 
  • Attention students interested in running cross country for the 2024-25 school year, please pick up an informational packet from the table in the front lobby or see Ms. Moore. 
  • Volleyball open gyms are starting after spring break. You must have a VSHL physical on file to participate.  See Coach Thornton in the gym if you have any questions.

    • Starting Summer (once school is out of session) we will go:
