Expect Respect Parent meetings

As part of our Expect Respect bullying prevention program, we’re holding a series of meetings for parents and students throughout November at each of our five middle schools.  We encourage students and parents to attend and learn more about PBIS and how the expect respect program is being implemented at the school.  We’ll also talk about how to tell the difference between bullying and conflict, what the school STOP phrase is and how to use it, more about the stop, walk and talk model and how parents can support their students during situations of bullying or conflict.  We’ll also share the SpeakUp program so parents will know what resources are available and how to report concerns.

Each meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at the middle school cafeterias.  The first meeting is November 13th at Northside Middle School, followed by two meetings on November 19th at Glenvar Middle and Hidden Valley Middle, then November 21 at William Byrd Middle and finally November 25th at Cave Spring Middle.

Parents and students from all middle and high schools are welcome to attend any or all of these meetings.
